Unraveling the Connection between Leaky Gut and Chronic Fatigue

Many health issues related to leaky gut syndrome go undiagnosed, misdiagnosed, or are ignored by traditional medicine. Individuals may be left with frustrating and uncomfortable symptoms and no answers.

According to the CDC, 17 million Americans are affected by gastrointestinal diseases.

In today’s fast paced future shock world, things like stress, too much sugar, a diet low in dietary fiber, excessive drinking, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) use, and food sensitivities all contribute to a leaky gut.

Leaky gut syndrome is a condition that involves damage to the lining of the small intestine, causing incomplete digestive nutrients, toxins, bacteria, and waste to “leak” through the intestines and flood the bloodstream.

Because damaged cells in the intestines may fail to produce the enzymes needed for proper digestion, absorption of essential nutrients is compromised. This creates further imbalances throughout the body, contributing to various issues, including hormone imbalance and a weakened immune system. The foreign substances entering the blood can cause an autoimmune response in the body, including inflammatory and allergic reactions, such as respiratory and digestive issues, chronic fatigue, brain fog, headaches, joint pain, skin conditions, and more. When substances leak out of the intestines, the liver is forced to overwork to filter them out of the bloodstream. The extra burden on the liver can result in the accumulation of fatty liver tissue. Some toxins may be sent back into the bloodstream when the liver's ability to detoxify fails, reaching muscles and connective tissues.

Even though leaky gut isn't typically diagnosed in Western medicine, that doesn't mean it's not affecting your health.

Unfortunately, most programs you may have tried in the past or heard about do not teach how to reverse increased intestinal permeability. However, I do understand the process and I can help!

There are 3 phases to improving gut health: elimination diet, detoxification, and restoration.
